What is Time Dilation?

Time dilation is a phenomenon of nature, which was indeed found, but there "heart of the matter" is not yet fathomed. This means that the specific cause of the time dilation is not yet known. In teaching, the time dilation is explained by a "light clock". A point of light is oscillating between two mirrors. If the mirrors are moving to the side, the point of light must run diagonally to the mirrors. The lengthening of the inclined path compels the clock to run slower. The tick-tock愀 of this light-clock as reflections of the point of light always comes later. The clock would run slower by their lateral movement. But, time dilation occurs not only in a light-clock, but in any clock, including a cuckoo-clock. But the cause for the time dilation is to see most clearly in a light-clock. This school "declaration" with a light clock is so beautiful and successful that it will be accepted as the right one. Nevertheless we search the "heart of the matter".

The teaching light clock is a thought experiment and not real feasible. But if it could build, a surprise would be the result, because the point of light is not following the mirrors. How does the point of light know that the mirrors moves sideways and it must follow diagonally? It does not know and does not. Every ray of light moves after leaving its source, even after reflection, in this direction that is given to it by the source or reflector, no matter how the source of the light or the reflector is moving. Also a laterally moving reflective surface gives a reflected light beam no lateral movement. Nevertheless a light clock will function, if the point of light is injected into the direction corresponding to the speed of the clock. This demonstrates that a thought experiment is a tricky thing, because it is often thought only in the direction of well-known results. In many cases they are actually invented just for this.

Speed of light, as well as time dilation, is part of the classical physics. A light clock is therefore an inertial system. And in an inertial system determined by todays teaching doctrine no changes may be possible, especially not when it is moving. So the light clock in motion did not go differently than without movement. But the fact is:

Also a light-clock as or in a moving inertial system
is running slower without view from or to the outside

A light clock does not run slowly caused by a certain view from the outside. That would be only a visual and no real slowdown. What in a light-clock can know that the system, in which it is, is moving? This only can be the light. Ghosts do not exist in the nature. The mirror of the light-clock can not know. Remains only the light. And that can only know it if it is not in relation to the mirrors, but to something else, that does not go along with the inertial system. Otherwise the clocks in the satellites of the GPS (navigation system) could also do not know. But they know.

What is now more obvious than the absolute reference point of Newtonian physics applies also for the light? The special position of light in teaching and science is anyway a large abnormality. Since applies namely to consider:

Thus, the experiment of Michelson-Morley must be reviewed. Einstein deduced of this, that there is no ether. This experiment should detect a horizontal "wind" of ether at the earth's surface. The result was zero. Thus there exists no wind of ether on the surface of the earth. But this proves only that there is no wind of ether in that direction. In the vertical, may indeed be something, because especially gravitation works in this direction. Would be measured in the vertical, is to prophesy that an ether wind would be measured with the speed of escape of the earth. And this is the velocity of the zero point of the world. After all, even a fixed point can not only be a human-intellectual structure that let drop a power- and motionless body to the ground. A fixed point must be a real detectable thing. In our universe is it the ether. So Michelson愀 experiment can be no base for no existence of ether and that will be confirmed by the experiment of Hafele and Kaeting. They measured the time dilation in an airplane that orbited the earth with and against there rotation. The results with respect to the starting point were not explainable. They corresponded especially not to the predictions by the special relativity, although they is exactly responsible. Even in a book written two years later, is to read, that this must do something with the earth's rotation.
Meanwhile, it is "explained" by skillful terminology: the aircraft, which is flying with the rotation of the earth, flies "with respect to the earth" faster than the other. "With respect to the earth" is so undefined that it never can be a physical justification. This merely statement conceals only ignorance.
The "heart of the matter", the physics of time dilation in the plane, lies elsewhere: the starting point of the plane has a time dilation caused by its circumferential speed of the earth's surface on its place. In the plane flying with the Earth's rotation, the time dilation increased, in the aircraft flying against the Earth's rotation it decreased. This corresponds exactly with the measured values. These therefore corresponds to the speeds that have the plane and the starting point relative to the fixed stars. This fixed point is the "heart of the matter" of the experiment from Hafele and Kaeting. The special relativity does not know any reference or even fixed point, it know only two things: an object and its observer. Therefore, it can not explain the measured values.

The peripheral speed of the Earth's surface is one that has measured the Michelson-Morley experiment also. But whose value is so small compared to the expected with a rate of about 30 000 m / s, namely merely about only 400 m / s, that it is unnoticed as alleged inaccuracy of measurement.

Based on the measurements from Hafele and Kaeting arises now inevitable: there is an ether. He falls straight to the surface of the earth without makes with there rotation and forms the zero point of the world. Now all fits together without exception: the time dilation, the absolute zero point and even the following gravitation.
Time dilation in the light-clock is formed by the cause, that light and clock has there speeds against the ether as the fixed point. The light-clock is moving absolut to the ether, the light in the clock also. Thereby the time between the tick tock愀, the impinging of the light-point on the mirrors, will be longer.

For a deeper understanding following comparisons: A space consists of water. The point of light in the clock in it is a silvery little fish that flits in the mirror-clock with its top speed from mirror to mirror. If the clock moved towards the water so the little fish must swim with the clock and even against the water and to the left and right mirror. The result is that in a same time less often the fish touches the mirrors. Even the water-fish-clock goes slower during their movement. The comparison of ether with water is historic. For Paul Dirac, the discoverer of the anti-matter, the ether was a special kind of massless matter, so in honor to him ether is called also with “Dirac sea“.
Another comparison shows two skaters. One circles the other with its constant maximum speed. If the other is moving, so the number of orbits will be lesser, because overtakings needs always longer time than the fall back again.

The "heart of the matter" of the light-clock is: light must go with the clock and additionally to the mirrors at right and left side. This leads to a limit, where the clock stops. This limit is the speed of light. The light is coming with the clock, but can not perform additionally the to and fro. Time dilation therefor is a mechanical action by Newtonian physics. So it is quite normal and nothing supernatural.

Now, time dilation is not only a status of watches. They only makes it visible. Time dilation arises within matter. How?
Matter is alive! Where and how?
Matter consists of atoms. An atom consist of the core and the electron shell. The electrons orbits the nucleus. Not as particles, but as an electromagnetic wave. An electromagnetic wave is, however, nothing other than a light wave, a light beam. The speed of the electron wave to the atomic nucleus is thus the speed of light. So an atom is a clock. Each rotation of an electron represent a part of time. And this atomic clock also runs slower by movement of the atom, so is subject to the time dilation. The atomic clock corresponds to the previously shown skater-clock.
The "heart of the matter" now is: if the electron motion in the atom will be slower, and they do so, then they too must travel a longer path. Where is the longer way? It also moves against the ether as the fish against the water und simultaneously must it orbiting the core of the atom. The ether pervades everything, the empty space and the compact matter, otherwise small particles such as the muon cannot have time dilation. How in it a time is running, is still unknown.

But why, for example, a rotating carousel goes slower in a moving space ship? On it is no speed of light involved. A carousel moves with the surface of the earth due to the rotation of the earth around itself and therefore laterally to the vertical falling ether. The carousel seat orbits its center point like the one skater the other. Because the seat moves with the carousel and also circular against the ether, the time for a rotation is longer. The sum of time for overtaking the rotation point and fall behind it becomes longer.

How it is now with the principle, that in inertial systems the Newtonian physics remains unchanged? Because by this a time dilation would not be possible. Well, Newtonian physics applies in inertial systems indeed unchanged. But it applies in inertial systems only with the so-called local time, which is slower by the time dilation from the whole inertial system. Is seen from rest into a moving inertial system, all movements within looks like slow motion, although in it the exact same Newtonian physics applies. This otherness in the observed inertial system is called "relativistic". Relativistic is the view from one time course to another. Time-lapse movie shows the filmed sequence relativistic. In the film is the shown illusory, untrue. But if we could look into a fast spaceship, the processes in it would indeed run as slow as it looks visually. Would astronauts looks from their spaceship to the Earth, they would see by their clock, that the earth turned much faster.

What is the most important statement of time dilation?

Time dilation is the explicit measure of the absolute Newtonian speeds of objects

Absolut of course means: against the ether, the "the heart of the nature".

The spacing of the lines corresponds to the measure of the speed of light. The yellow vectors of the motion of the light spot is corresponding to the constant speed of the light against the ether. Time dilation is not created by a view from a particular differently moving location, but rather arise within the light clock.

With all what is saying before the time dilation should be clarified. But, the main question is open:

What is time?

Newton suspected that time is a separate thing that directs the physics from the outside and would be something what runs on its own. Such a "thing" has never been found, except in philosophical considerations. But a philosophical considerations about time in physics leads to nothing. For nature events, so in physics, time may be taken from nature events after Newtonian physics. Namely from movements: where nothing is changing, there is no time. Therefore time is bound on substantive. This also applies to waves, as they are vibrations of something substantive. Light waves are vibrations of the ether, which is indeed massless, but not insubstantial. Therefore space cannot have time, as it pretends the mathematics of general relativity.
In Newtonian physics, and in our world is no other, time is the progress of mechanical movements. Without this movements the cosmos were dead or did not arised. A time scale arise from periodically repetitive processes such as eg the rotation of the earth around itself with respect to the sun, or in small dimensions, the rotation of an electron around its nucleus. The electrons with their revolutions around the nucleus are the "driving pinion" of Newtonian physics, and thus determine the run of the time. Each turn of an electron represents a concrete step forward in the movement of all mechanical actions.

What is the absolutely necessary thing in physics?

A clear and unambiguous and concise definition of that, what time is

Without this, physics never can be an exact science.
